3D Design and Printing Laboratory
In the ETSIME FabLab, we work on digitization, part design and 3D printing using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling).
Our objective is to offer a prototyping service to the ETSI Mines and Energy community, including:
- Support for teaching activity: Creation of utility models for the School's subjects.
- Student service: printing of pieces designed in training activities, as well as for the development of prototypes linked to Final Degree and Master's Projects.
- Research support: Printing of prototypes and parts developed within the framework of research work.
Training Activity
The development of the activity is linked to the subject of GRAPHIC EXPRESSION, taught in the first year of the undergraduate degrees of the ETSIME.
In Graphic Expression, students acquire practical knowledge about 3D design and printing generating designs of engineering parts, being able to use these skills for design and prototyping throughout their entire student period at The School.
The laboratory will have the participation of students from the Project Monitor (students with outstanding attitude demonstrated in the subject of GRAPHIC EXPRESSION)
The laboratory has a training platform in Moodle for any member of the ETSIME interested in training in the exciting world of 3D design and printing
