CYCLE I: THE MISUNDERSTANDED RISK OF RAW MATERIALS
Rare earths: An unfortunate strategy?
REGISTRATIONS HERE
In this third session of this cycle of open sessions focused on commodity risk from the Robeco Chair in Sustainability and Primary Resources, we will address rare earths.
The evolution in the supply of rare earths, originally with a clear policy, seems to be opening up to a new era. Are its applications as 'rare' as they are important? Is it geopolitics that will determine the strategy? How complicated is it to avoid current dependency?
In this session we will analyze:
· The rare earth supply chain
· Its applications in the energy transition (permanent magnets) and in digitalization
· Its geopolitical interest and current level of dependence
Limited capacity. Please register as soon as possible to secure your place. REGISTRATIONS HERE
