MUEE - Objectives and Competencies

MUEE objectives

  • Offer knowledge about the general principles of Energy Efficiency applied to the world of Building, Industry and Transportation.
  • Train professionals in the most avant-garde techniques for the optimization and improvement of energy systems.
  • Facilitate students' learning of evaluation and decision-making methodologies and tools to undertake these improvement measures.
  • Increase problem-solving capabilities in very diverse Energy Efficiency environments and in generally multidisciplinary contexts.

 

Professional Competencies

 Among the competencies of the title are:

CE1 - Apply advanced scientific and technical energy efficiency criteria to electrical, thermal, multigeneration and energy storage generation systems, with a high degree of integration of renewable energies.

CE5 - Capacity for the application of efficient solutions for energy generation at the local level, self-consumption, etc... that allow reducing energy distribution losses.

CE6 - Characterize the economic, energy and environmental impact of the application of energy efficiency measures in energy generation.

CE7 - Analyze the current situation and future perspectives of energy generation systems from the point of view of energy efficiency.

CE15 - Ability to develop an energy plan and implement an Energy Plan for energy processes.

CE16 - Incorporate new technologies and advanced engineering tools applied to Energy and Environmental Impact in Transportation, in their professional or research activities.

CE17 - Understand and apply technical, practical and experimental aspects related to sustainability in general, and energy efficiency in particular, considering the complete life cycle of the building and all the agents involved in its different phases.

CE19 - Ability to carry out environmental impact studies and waste management programs.

CE22 - Ability to implement an energy efficiency plan integrated into the industry value chain.
