Movilidad Internacional

Mobility at ETSIME

Historically, student exchanges have mainly taken place with other mining schools of similar tradition in countries such as Germany (Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg), France (École des Mines de Paris), Russia (Saint Petersburg Mining University), Chile (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) or the United States (Colorado School of Mines).

It is important to point out that, since the implementation of the Bologna Plan, the School has begun to offer not only studies related to mining, but also the Degree in Energy Resources, Fuels and Explosives Engineering and the Degree in Energy Engineering, which has allowed us to increase the number of bilateral agreements with other universities and schools, leaders in renewable energies and energy efficiency, without forgetting the traditional mining universities.

We also have several double degrees with prestigious universities, mainly French, which allows students to obtain a deeper experience of academic exchange, as well as an important international validation qualification of great importance in their professional future.

Every year more and more students visit us - especially French or with energy studies profiles - who can enjoy numerous activities to integrate into the ‘mining family’. The school organises events and has several museums of great historical value, real jewels for all those who visit us - especially French or with energy studies backgrounds - who can enjoy numerous activities to integrate into the ‘mining family’. The school organises events and has several museums of great historical value, authentic gems for all those interested in engineering and the general public. Highlights include the mineral market, the Don Felipe de Borbón y Grecia Historical-Mining Museum, the Marcelo Jorissen Mine Museum and the Félix Cañada Art Museum, which is part of the Gómez-Pardo Foundation.

Student associations complement the academic life of our visiting students and are a great help in their international experience. Associations such as ‘Conciencia Minera’, the ‘Club Deportivo de Minas’ or ‘Glück-Auf’ have actively collaborated with our office.
