The Communication Office is a university service of the Higher Technical School of Mining and Energy Engineers of Madrid. The permanent contact and collaboration with the Communication Office of the Polytechnic University of Madrid allows our School to be actively present in the dissemination of the UPM and the periodical publications that our University has, as well as in the media whose content It is linked to our work as an academic center.
What services do we offer?
Our School is a continuous source of academic relations, new studies and lines of research, scientific advances and other fruits of daily work in different areas linked to mining, geology and energy from a very broad point of view. Therefore, From the Communication Office, we are working so that all the work of our University has a greater projection, beyond our walls.
We are faced with a globalized society, in which it is necessary to make known what is done, and society demands that knowledge from us. From the School we have been involved in this project with enthusiasm and trusting that the necessary collaboration of everyone will ensure that the objectives we aim for are achieved.
The lines of action carried out by the Cabinet are:
- The creation of a News section linked to the official website of the School of Mines and Energy where relevant activities are collected in the form of news, interviews, reports, research, etc.
- Enabling a Calendar, where the different events planned at the School can be consulted.
- Last Minute Section, where the most immediate activities have a place.
- Event management
- Publication and dissemination of content (news, research, academic information, etc.)
- Media contact
- The creation of the different channels that allow us to position ourselves on the Internet: Youtube Channel, Google +, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin.
Commitments
The Communication Office of the ETSIME-UPM is committed to giving a voice to all those who want to make their work known, which is of great interest not only to specialists in the subject but to society in general. Therefore, from here we want to ask you for your participation. All those research works or activities that are carried out and can be disseminated both in the academic, scientific, and social level, are of great interest and it is necessary to disseminate them. Also from the Cabinet we would like you to collaborate with photographs, videos or any graphic material that can complete the information on our page and associated channels.
The University stands as a source of knowledge, let's not let that knowledge remain among a few, let's make known everything we have worked on and continue to work on.
Rights and Duties
All users will have the right to use the services of the Communication Office, in accordance with established standards, and to receive the corresponding technical support and advice. All users will have the obligation to request services in accordance with the established procedures and provide the necessary collaboration for the correct development of the Cabinet's services.
Citizen Participation
Users of the Communication Office can direct their queries, incidents, complaints and suggestions through:

Remedial measures in case of non-compliance with commitments
In the event of non-compliance with the commitments of this letter, the user may file a complaint or claim by the means described above, specifying the commitment that is considered breached. The ETSIME Communication Office will respond to this complaint or claim within a period of no more than 48 business hours, indicating the measures established within the scope of its powers.
